PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS NOTICE #3 - ACORN STREET PROJECT

TO THE RESIDENT OR OCCUPIER

As you may be aware, Hamilton East Kiwanis Non-Profit Homes Inc. is undertaking the construction of a new apartment building at 6 Acorn St.

As part of our good neighbour policy and our Public Communications Plan we wish to advise you of construction activities that will be taking place in the neighbourhood while we construct the new apartment building.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE NEXT TWO (2) WEEKS ARE;

  1. Completion of the foundation works at the south section of the property
  2. Completion of the underground sewer and watermains
  3. Constructing foundation walls
  4. Backfilling of foundation walls
  5. The above will mean increased trucking activity and excavation machinery on the site

Caledon Community Collaborative

Caledon Community Collaborative (a collaboration between Hamilton East Kiwanis Non-Profit Homes and Victoria Park Community Homes) has purchased the surplus school lands at 60 Caledon Avenue from the City of Hamilton to build much needed housing.

Our Vision is to deliver a safe and sustainable development which provides good homes to families and individuals for generations to come.

As part of our good neighbour policy and our Public Communications Plan we wish to advise you of construction activities that will be taking place in the neighbourhood while we construct the new apartment building.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE NEXT TWO (2) WEEKS ARE;

  1. Completion of the shoring works at the north-west section of the property.
  2. Installation of underground sewer and watermains.
  3. Bulk excavation of the building foundations.
  4. Concrete formwork and pouring of sections of the main foundations.
  5. The above will mean increased trucking activity and excavation machinery on the site.

  1. Removal of existing asphalt, fencing and parking lot lighting and excavation for site services. This will mean increased trucking activity and excavation machinery on the site
  2. Installation of underground sewer and watermains. This will mean increased trucking activity and excavation machinery on the site
  3. Installation of shoring work at the north east section of the site. This will mean caisson drilling and concrete placing into the caisson bores on the site only.
